Caron Narcisse Noir

                      Caron Narcisse Noir

Introduction :-

Narcisse Noir (1911) was launched in 1911 under the well known fragrance house known as Caron. Narcisse Noir (1911) by Caron is a Amber Floral fragrance for women. "A mythical fragrance where ambivalent orange blossom meets voluptuous sandalwood." A cult classic! An unforgettable scent with a scandalous reputation…between radiance and the depths of darkness, Narcisse Noir opposes two very different notes. Fresh and dazzling, neroli essence reveals its most radiant facets. An overdose of Mysore sandalwood essence infuses the perfume trail with the powerful velvety scent of this precious wood from India. The contrast between the two is radical. Totally hypnotic. This creation captures several orange blossoms essences. The floral freshness of neroli. The green notes of petitgrain. The honeyed animal nuances of orange blossom absolute. Narcisse Noir is the epitome of sensuality, a perfume trail that spells double trouble! With an unforgettable scent and a reputation for sensuality, our first major success has become an icon of perfumery. Launched in 1911, it revealed one of Ernest Daltroff’s most burning obsessions: white flowers. For his whole life, founder was fascinated by these dual flowers, both innocent and untamed, luminous and full of mystery. Narcisse Noir is a memorable confession of those traits. Fashioned like a chiaroscuro, this fragrance is an impressive ode to the two faces of orange blossom. The tiny flower becomes a grand diva! Dramatic and exuberant, it exhibits its immense beauty – but also its darkest moods. This fragrance is a masterpiece of audacity and creativity, a legend at the peak of sensuality. It’s the signature of a feline woman with an untamable spirit. An angel and a demon at the same time. As most dramatic fragrance, this masterpiece was sure to please the stars of cinema. In 1947, it gave its name to the English film Black Narcissus, directed by Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger. Three years later, on the set of Sunset Boulevard by Billy Wilder, the Hollywood star Gloria Swanson is said to have required that all the sets be sprayed with her cherished perfume: Narcisse Noir, as guessed. True or not, this rumour has only served to feed the myth, making CARON a legend. This poetic fragrance was created in honor of the consecration of the House of Caron. Bold perfume pushes the intrinsic dual personality of orange blossom to the extreme. Immaculate sweetness fuses with brooding, fatally seductive notes. Ambivalent flower is timelessly captivating. Immortalized by Gloria Swanson in the film Sunset Boulevard, Narcisse Noir is a contrast of light and shadow combining the purity of orange blossom with the understated beauty of sandalwood. Caron Narcisse Noir by Ernest Daltroff is a true child of Art Deco, an era in art and fashion marked by the fascination with the East. The movie Sunset Boulevard enshrined this perfume, when Gloria Swanson pronounced the name in a deep sultry voice, “Black Narcissus, Narcisse Noir.” Even without knowing the context in which Narcisse Noir was created, one whiff of this sensual orange blossom can conjure up the Art Deco’s black and white motifs, Greek art inspired lithe figures, geometrical designs and stylized floral freezes. Caron La Collection Privée Narcisse Noir is a captivating fragrance that exudes elegance and mystery. Remark :-

Narcisse Noir by Caron is a floral fruity fragrance for women. Its originality lies in the orange note added to the flowery, fruity base that includes rose, jasmine, musk, vetiver, and sandalwood, making it sweet and fresh. A cult classic! Narcisse Noir. This fragrance offers an innovative composition, with a high concentration of sandalwood. A characteristic boldness of the house of perfumery Caron sublimating, the most beautiful raw materials. By combining the almost animal strength of narcissus, the greed of vanilla and the character of sandalwood, the result is a powerful oriental and floral fragrance with amber notes. The opulence of sandalwood mixed with the green note of narcissus for an exquisite woody trail. Black Narcissus as The name suggests nighttime, malignancy, eroticism. Famously dubbed the Film Noir perfume for expressing in perfume language that genre's contrast between light and dark, white flowers and animalic musk, she (to personify Narcisse Noir) is also beautiful and dangerous, a femme fatale only in it for herself even though she gussies herself up to lure in. Created by Caron founder Ernest Daltroff, Narcisse Noir, often categorized as a floral oriental, is indeed heady. It is sweet like the white Datura flowers flourishing in the front yards of San Francisco Victorians and whose white flowers surprise by growing upside down with Satanic portent. But just as Narcisse Noir's almost cloyingly sweet flowers rise up its musky incensey civety sandalwood base, like a moll's gangster standing behind her with a drawn gun reminds that she's not that innocent. Narcisse Noir opens with a dark and deep narcissus, like it comes from the depths of a country field that is moistened with a warm undercurrent that runs through it.  It’s sharp like the flower, but not so much that it’s all bite.  After around five minutes the orange blossom comes to the surface.  It’s not bright and it’s not juicy, but rather mixed with the narcissus it retains this darker, more mysterious edge.  The jasmine adds a bit of rubberiness to the mix almost like its tuberose.  But soon enough, the darker veil. Narcisse Noir starts very heady, with sweet citrus and orange blossom. The orange blossom is joined shortly by the narcissus, but maintains its prominence through the dry down. Once the top notes fade, it is deep, rich, and very elegant, but no longer particularly heady or overly sweet. As one would expect from a classic Caron fragrance, it is dark, but it is less so than some of the others, and it is also surprisingly clean, with hints of soap and powder. A wisp of smoke very like sandalwood incense runs through the floral notes, and along with the civet provides some depth and counteracts the sweetness. Narcisse Blanc reveals a striking contrast constantly oscillating between opposites. The freshness of orange blossom, bergamot, orange and petitgrain notes meet the woody notes of cashmere wood and vanilla. Two extremes with warm accents that reveal the Caron woman with a complex and magnetic character. This double-faceted woman is revealed through her heart with scents of jasmine, narcissus and rose. The sheer luxury of its opening makes this worth the entrance fee - the most unctuous narcissus lifted by an orange blossom breeze on a cushion of velvety, powdery sandalwood rising from the base. It makes me want to swan about in robes of bejewelled silk. The heart is more of a quality jasmine and there are quite a few of those about, but the ravishment is in the first glimpse and in the absolute luxury of the base which lingers the whole day long. It is a dark fragrance, with a sunny orange blossom note rendered uncharacteristically animalic and brooding. As Narcisse Noir develops, the incense unfolds and wrap the jasmine and orange blossom into a smoky mist.  The eau de toilette is beautiful for its luminous, sparkling quality. The extrait de parfum, on the other hand, is magical, given its rich, smoldering and mysterious character. Notes: orange blossom, lemon, bergamot, and petit grain; rose, jasmine, and jonquil; Persian black narcissus, musk, civet, and sandalwood. Any Woman can wear this at anytime and anywhere.
