Jean Patou Cocktail
Introduction :-
Cocktail was launched in 1930 under the house of one of the best world's best fragrance brand known as Jean Patou. Cocktail by Jean Patou is a Chypre Floral fragrance for women. This Chypre Floral fragrance has a scent profile of white floral, lavender, floral, fresh spicy, mossy, rose, yellow floral, earthy, green, and aromatic. In the late 1920s, Jean Patou installed a special cocktail bar in his showrooms, which, he said, "is to quench the thirsts of bored husbands and other men during fittings. Three cocktail themed perfumes created by Henri Almeras Cocktail Sweet, Cocktail Dry, Cocktail Bitter Sweet as well as Angostura perfumes were available to the general public about a year later. Pola Negri christened her "perfume cocktail" as"Reconciliation", it contained "a dash of chypre, three parts amber, and a dash or two of lilies of the valley essence, make the perfect one for a brunette." Cocktail was originally three fragrances from the 1930's: Cocktail Sweet, Cocktail Dry, and Cocktail Bitter Sweet, created for the cocktail bars in Jean Patou showrooms. It is generally considered that the 1984 Cocktail is a recreation of Cocktail Dry. The version offered here is a bottle from the 1984 re-release as a part of the Ma Collection, a limited edition release of 12 of Jean Patou's earliest releases. These perfumes were recreated extremely faithfully to their original counterparts by Jean Patou perfumer Jean Kerleo. In 1930 Jean Patou converted his then cocktail bar in his couture studio into a fragrance bar and asked his in house perfumer Henri Almeras to create a perfume trio around the cocktail - Dry, Sweet & Bittersweet - these are the forerunners to the more modern version of cocktail which is part of the Ma Collection. It represents Woman in Cocktail dress at the Cocktail Bar drinking Cocktail made up of fusion of surprising Fruits, Flowers, Syrups, Spices and Alcohols. She is like Cocktails fusion of everything Cocktail of several culture, Cocktail of several emotions, Cocktail of several styles, Cocktail of several talents, Cocktail of several art forms, Cocktail of several dancing style on the dance floor, Cocktail of several music, She is the Cocktail of Everyone. These perfumes were available in the luxury parfum versions made up of Baccarat crystal or larger less expensive versions in two and a half ounces clear glass bottles for the eau de toilette. The bottle was designed by Louis Sue and later adapted by the famous Pierre Dinand.
Smell:-
Cocktail opens with beautiful fresh florals aromatic spicy green notes, transform towards fresh florals notes, and dries down to mossy green resinous balsamic ambery musky notes.
Remark :-
Cocktail is refreshingly, wonderful powdery chypre, with only the faintest hint of sweetness due to the floral notes. It opens with a sharp, but dry, slightly bitter note of petitgrain and lavender accord, then honeysuckle, hyacinth, geranium, clove, green not indolic jasmine and rose meld at the heart. Dusty vetiver, ambergris, oakmoss and soapy musk round out the base. “this chypre apertif opens with a sparkle of citrus and lavender, every bit as crisp and refreshing as a martini made with one of those trendy bespoke vodkas. Honeysuckle, hyacinth and clove come in as the scent becomes more of a chypre and less of a cocktail. The drydown is very dry indeed; the flowers are never overpowering.” It is a powdery chypre, with only the faintest hint of sweetness due to the floral notes. Dusty vetiver, ambergris, oakmoss and soapy musk round out the base. Cocktail is the quintessential summer perfume. As implied by the witty name, it is very dry, alluding most elegantly to the dry 1930's cocktails it's named after. Cocktail opens with a crisp petit grain, lavender, and vetiver top. The vetiver notes, while not identifiable as such, move both through the top and the base, drying it out and grounding it. Then a lightly floral honeysuckle extremely green, jasmine, and rose, then it pulls way back and a slightly soapy musk joins the lavender especially in this soapy musk/lavender phase. But Cocktail's petitgrain bitters never quite fade, and even in this heart-dominant phase, it stays dry and light. It hasn't got huge sillage and after about disappears from the top of one's scent radar. A delicate cloud of the lavender musk petitgrain dry cocktail. Cocktail is perfect, for social occasions, but it's also almost aphrodisiac in summer. The coolness, elegance, aromatic brightness combined with it's delicacy make it tolerable when a lot of things aren't. Imagine people quarreling with the almost soapy musk, a powdery amber as a musk, musk in the drydown. Anyone can wear this at anytime and anywhere.
Recommendation :-
We suggest Every women to try Cocktail once in their life time and lucky enough to buy because of extremely expensive price and from one of the best fragrance Brand in the World "Jean Patou".
